What To Do
The history of Central Market dates back to 1730 when Andrew and James Hamilton laid out the original town. The market moved to its present location in 1757 and the building was constructed in 1889 and still serves as one of the country's largest farmer's markets.
Central PA African-American Museum
Bethel A.M.E. Church, now known as the Central Pennsylvania African American Museum, is a historic African Methodist Episcopal Church. It was originally built in 1837, and is a 2 1/2-story brick and stucco building with a gable roof. It was rebuilt about 1867-1869, and remodeled in 1889. It features a three-story, brick tower with a pyramidal roof and topped by a finial. The church is known to have housed fugitive slaves and the congregation was active in the Underground Railroad. The church is now home to a museum dedicated to the history of African Americans in Central Pennsylvania.

Colonial Industrial Quarter
Visitors can learn how the early Moravian community lived by touring a 1750 smithy 1761 tannery a 1762 waterworks 1764 Springhouse and an 1869 mill. Visitors can also see remains of other industrial buildings including a 1771 dye house.

Conrad Weiser Homestead
The Conrad Weiser Homestead is a Pennsylvania state historic site located in Womelsdorf on Route 422. Conrad Weiser was an 18th century German immigrant who served as an Indian interpreter and helped coordinate Pennsylvania's Indian policy. He played a major role in the history of colonial Pennsylvania. The homestead includes period buildings and a new orientation exhibit on a 26-acre Olmsted-designed landscaped park. Open Charter Day through the first weekend in December, on the first Sunday of every month, noon to 4 pm, plus regularly scheduled events. Special tours by appointment. Closed January and February.
